Where do I get it?
The game will be available right here!
Every page of this site will have a link when the game is ready.

When will it be ready?

The target date for beta testing is the end of February. If it's not good enough on the target date, then I'll keep working on it until I'm happy with it. If beta testers don't think it's fun, I'll keep working on it until they love it. If it's got bugs, I'll fix them. If it needs more polish, I'll polish it. I won't release this game until it's good.

The original schedule was to have the game on sale on December 15th. However, the art was completely replaced in June, so that will add around there months. But it will be worth it.

If you want a shout when it's finally ready, just leave your address at the bottom of the page.

How much will it cost?

The large demo will be free. If you decide you want even more (and I hope you do!) then the full game will be $14.99, or the equivalent in your local currency.

I'll probably use BMT Micro for handling the money, so you know you can trust them. They have an excellent reputation and are used by numerous games sevelopers. They offer the usual range of options for credit cards, PayPal, etc.

How many megabytes? And can I get it on CD or DVD?

The demo will be about 100 MB (very rough estimate) and unpack to about 200 MB. Both the demo and the full game will be a single file that unpacks to four files on your hard disk: the game engine, the game resources, a DLL for playing the music, and an icon.

The complete game will be a download of about 200 MB, and will unpack to about 400 MB on your hard disk. The game will also be available on CD (at an extra charge, just to cover CD costs.)

What's in the demo?

The demo will probably take you up to the crisis with Fauchelevent's cart, about one quarter of the way through the story.

The teaser video

Some time around November I'll put a teaser video on YouTube and similar sites, so you can see the game in action, and decide if you think it's worth downloading. I hope you like what you see.

How much will future versions cost?

I like to keep things simple. Other game developers advised me to charge $29.99 for the full game, then give a discount for buying future versions if you bought an earlier version. But I also wanted to give a discount to first time buyers to encourage them. So basically everyone gets a fifty percent discount, so the game costs $14.99 whovever buys it, and whatever the version.

I don't really expect everyone who buys the first version to rush out and buy the second version six months later. But I hope that maybe every year or two they'll want to see what new stories have been added. Whatever happens, I'm in this for the long haul and I hope you'll like what you see and want to come back for more.
